A dead pixel appears as a tiny black dot. It no longer illuminates because all sub-pixels have failed. Dead pixels are permanent and require screen replacement.

A stuck pixel stays on one color (red, green, blue, or white). It still receives power and can often be fixed.
How to Tell the Difference

Fix Methods
Try our diagnostic tool's rapid color cycling, gentle pressure with a soft cloth, or the tap method. If under warranty, check your manufacturer's pixel policy first.
